Global Warming Score

If you are looking for a car that will reduce your carbon footprint, or save you money at the gas pump, use this tool to search and compare vehicles by Global Warming Score.

In California all vehicles manufactured after January 1, 2009 are required to display a Global Warming Score as part of the Environmental Performance Label. The Global Warming Score ranks each vehicle’s greenhouse gas emissions relative to all other vehicles within that model year. Global Warming Scores are on a scale of 1 – 10, with 10 being the cleanest, and 5 being the average. Cars with a Global Warming Score of 7 or higher are the cleanest, and already meet the new greenhouse gas emission standards coming into effect in 2012.

Think clean and buy vehicles with higher scores.
