» Charging/Fueling
Hydrogen ICE vehicles are internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles that are specially designed to run on hydrogen fuel. While hydrogen infrastructure is still ramping up, current hydrogen ICE vehicles being developed are designed to run on either gasoline or liquid hydrogen. Hydrogen ICE vehicles provide a good transition to fuel cell vehicles and result in fewer smog and greenhouse gas emissions than their gasoline counterparts. Manufacturers such as Ford and BMW have announced plans to market H2 ICE vehicles sometime in the future.
